Perhaps feeling stressed is an everyday reality for you. Maybe stress consistently appears at specific times of the day for you and weighs heavy; when you wake up in the morning, when you go to the office, when you interact with family members or coworkers.

The reality is, stress is not a long to do list, a nagging spouse, or an unorganized workplace. Stress is your body’s response to these things, events, places, and people. Stress is your body’s reaction to any change that requires an adjustment or response. Your body will react to these changes with physical, mental, and emotional responses. You might be surprised to learn that even positive life changes like a job promotion, a new relationship, a home purchase, or the birth of a child produces stress. Stress is a normal part of life.

The challenge exists when stress becomes ongoing and chronic. Chronic stress can negatively impact our physical health, our happiness and our ability to make wise and sound decisions.
